Player Agency the RPG
A downloadable game
Okay, everyone, in this game I suggest holding player/character identity loosely.
The core of the game is a two-pronged experience. The first prong comes during character generation. This is a cooperative mini-game. All the players take part in the creation of every character
The second prong happens during play. At intervals a die is rolled, and on a 1 the character sheets get rotated around the table.
If using polyhedral dice, then start with the die with the largest number of sides, and if the roll is not a 1, then the next time use the next smaller die. Continue reducing die size if a 1 is not rolled, until reaching the smallest die in the set. Continue rolling that die until the result is a 1. Then reset to the largest die. Each player gets to play more than one character per session, possibly all of the characters, possibly more than once.
Really, at this point the rest doesn’t matter. Do this with any game you have.
But let me give you some idea of how this might work.
Here’s a spy game, a little game I like to call…
